Observe the far distant planet on the Mars Expedition. Take the Mars Rover to explore the uninhabited area and make discoveries. When ready to explore on foot, check the control panel monitors to verify the conditions safe before folding down the side ramp and disembarking the vehicle. Set up the drill attachment to extract samples from the rocks, which can then be studied and brought back to Earth. Utilize the various tool attachments for the rover's extendable, moveable arm to break up rocks, pick up minerals with the gripper, or blast objects out of your path. The rover includes functioning light and sound effects including gripper arm action, driving sounds, and an alarm. When the sunlight is no longer the primary source of light, the crystals found on the terrain can be used to light up the surrounding area in the functioning light module. For small expeditions, one space cadet can drive the Mars trike and can bring back materials in the storage box in the front of vehicle. In case of unexpected wind storms or rain, the crew can take shelter in the research laboratory that can shelter up to four figures. Before the long trip home, turn on the interior LED lights around the control panel to prepare for departure.
